The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney are the home of hundreds of “Flying Foxes”, which is cute way of saying huge bats. They hang around arguing with each other and fly about. Their wingspan is about three feet or so, and it’s amazing to watch them fly overhead.

Our first night in Sydney was spent walking through the Sydney Aquarium. It’s strange going to an aquarium at 6PM on a Sunday, but that’s what you do after traveling for 18 hours and when jet-lag makes it feel as though it’s 10AM a day earlier.
