Me: Would you rather... read all of the Harry Potter books, back to back... or eat a Subway Philly Cheesesteak three times a day every day for two weeks?

Stacey: Oh god. Harry Potter. Can I eat just one per day?

Me: No, you have to eat three. Just three cheesesteaks and water, nothing else. Two weeks.

Stacey: Yeah, Harry Potter.

Me: Okay. Would you rather eat Subway Philly Cheesesteaks three times a day for two weeks or... drink a cup of urine?

Stacey: Urine.

Me: But you don't know whose urine it is. The only guarantee is that it's human and disease-free.

Stacey: Urine.

Me: But it could be some dirty old homeless man's urine!

Stacey: Yeah but it's disease free... oh, god. Ugh. Is that Harry Potter offer still on the table?

Me: No.

Stacey: Just as well, I think I'd still choose the urine.

Fixed Two Bugs

Bill Griesau: I fixed two bugs that were a really big pain in the ass.

Me: What's that tool you use for resizing windows via the green traffic light button?

Me: Mopie or Moox or Miggins... something.

Shawn Morrison: Yeah, it's Miggins.

Shawn Morrison: I use an app called Miggins.

Me: I dunno, I downloaded Miggins and all it did was put a video of a dancing leprechaun in the bottom right of my screen.

Shawn Morrison: Honeslty, I'm downloading that immediately.

Over the top? Not top enough!

I watched the 2010 reboot of A Nightmare On Elm Street the other night, mostly because we have cable again now and movie channels so I watch any random crap that’s on when I’m bored and also because I love really bad horror movies. Jackie Earle Haley plays Freddy Krueger, adding to his amazing career of playing mostly child molesters.

That’s the thing about this movie: They made Freddy a child molester. Apparently this was an idea Wes Craven was toying with back in 1984 when making the first film, but he threw it out. Want to guess why? Because making Freddy a child molester is like shooting a corpse in the face with a shotgun. We get it already, he’s murdering people. He’s a bad guy. We’re on your side, he has to be stopped. But now on top of him murdering teenagers we have to have scenes where he talks about having sex with kids? The ultimate showdown has to include him running his claw up and down a teenager’s junk?

Me: About to right now. I can never tell if you're anxious for me to watch because it's bad or good.

Bill Griesau: I'm anxious because I love the Jets like you love (insert something you love a lot).

Bill Griesau: I never understood how a team could make you feel, until very recently.

Me: Man, who knew that having a stroke while delivering pizza to a sports medicine clinic would change your life so drastically.

Clinically Depressed on Video

Me: Shawn, your video freezes here and there, and when it does, you look seriously depressed.

Me: It keeps freezing you with a tilted head, eyes half closed, like you're listening to music in your basement in 1994.

Me: "Man, life is so complicated, you know?"

Shawn Morrison: I do often look depressed by default, so on video chat I'm constantly trying to look happier.

Shawn Morrison: It's a problem.

Me: I'm glad you know. If this came as a surprise, that would be bad.

Me: "I AM FUCKING DEPRESSED YOU JERK *SOBBING*"

Bill Griesau: It is weird that the human default look is sad/depressed.

Bill Griesau: It takes energy to look happy.

Shawn Morrison: No, I'm really just a generally happy person. Love life, always see the bright side. Just look clinically depressed on video.
