Forever’s Not So Long Technical Information
Since releasing our latest short, we’ve been asked many times which camera and hardware we used. Here’s what we made the film with, in all its video-nerd glory:
- Shot on a Panasonic HVX-200a with a Cinevate 35mm lens adapter
- We used the Nikon 50mm 1.8 and 28mm 2.8 primes only
- Edited in Final Cut Pro and Pro Tools (we used FCP for the color and saturation changes as well)
With the adapter, lens and support rails on the HVX, the rig weighed a TON. Shawn shot the whole thing hand-held himself, and at the end of a few days his arms were shaky and numb. But it was worth it, since his cinematography was gorgeous.
