I have to admit the elation from last night’s results are soured some this morning by California passing proposition 8. It’s disgraceful that today, in 2008, people are still making it a goal to keep rights away from people based on their sexual preference. Even more depressing is looking at a county-by-county breakdown of voting results, seeing that only 10 or so counties voted no. Hell, even Los Angeles county voted yes. What the fuck?
Reading quotes from proposition 8 supports makes my heart ache. These are people who have seriously maladjusted world views and I pity them.
