So my recent Design by Hümans order never arrived. The postal service claims they delivered it on February 25 in the afternoon, but no one in my building ever saw the package, and no one rang my doorbell.
I called the USPS to ask them what I should do about this. The eventual result: Not much. Apparently, if an uninsured package (it was just tee shirts, after all) goes missing or is “delivered” the USPS is done with it. I can file a claim on it, but the customer service rep made it pretty clear that was not going to get me my package, and it would be difficult to prove I didn’t receive it, since the carrier claims she delivered it. So I’m out the price of my order.
What really stinks about the situation is that I used some DBH Dollars (from sales referrals) in the order, which I’ve not effectively lost. So if I want to replace the order, I have to spend more money, making the shirts effectively 2.5x the price they should have been. I think in this case, I’m going to cut my losses.
I have to say, I haven’t been impressed with the DBH staff’s customer service. They have yet to respond to any of my email, which I’ve now been sending for three days. Not a great way to treat a customer who constantly refers you business.
