What’s interesting to me about the outlook of Hillary Clinton being the democratic nominee has nothing to do with the fact that I want Obama to win. It has to do with short-sightedness of our party. If we choose Clinton, we’ll have that much harder of a time getting our party elected to the presidency.
Republicans hate Hillary. With a passion. Plenty of democrats do too, actually. If she is our party’s nominee, it’s going to be that much harder to convince moderates, independents and republicans to vote for her.
Clearly, on a national scale, Obama is more electable. Because of that, he’s the right choice. But instead, it’s looking more and more likely we’ll see a president McCain in 2008. I hope I’m wrong.
