I can’t believe I did it, but I just canceled my order for the MacBook Air and instead ordered a black MacBook, with 4GB of RAM. Amazon had a $100 mail-in rebate, so it was dirt cheap. I saved over $500 compared to the cost I was going to pay for the MacBook Air.
I love gadgets, and I have a problem where I buy them sometimes even when they’re not the right choice. For me, the extra two pounds for the MacBook, off-set by the nearly 2x speed increase, is worth the money saved.
This is a bold day for me.
