The Internet
I think about this too, when I hear a smart person yell out, “It’s a series of tubes!” and laugh to themselves. We’re all much smarter than that. It isn’t funny. How many more times will people say, “the internets” and think it’s still a chuckle? I hate that shit.
(By the way, Shawn writes about this far more elegantly than I just did, which is why I’m linking to what he wrote. Ignore my spasm of anger there, if you can.)
