About Garrett Murray  I was born in the pacific northwest and lived in and around Seattle for the first 17 years of my life. In 1997, I moved to the atlantic northeast (this nomenclature doesn’t exist… why?) and have lived in and around New York City for the last 10 years. I currently reside in Brooklyn. I build websites and open source software that focus on simplicity and ease of use. Applications like xPad, the little app that could (and still does), and SimpleLog are good examples of how I feel software can help users focus on the task at hand. They’re also both free. Aside from all the web stuff, I’m a comedian. I make short films and host a comedy podcast and sketch show. From time to time I also perform improvisational and sketch comedy in NYC at places like the Upright Citizens Brigade and PIT theatres. And, from time to time, I write fiction.
