Rechargeable batteries, yep, and I do use the Apple version. The nice thing about Apple’s set is that it comes with a charger and six batteries (enough for one full set of mouse, trackpad and keyboard), for only $30. I have at least four sets of them so everything in the house is able to run while a spare set charges.
