Girls, Hills
My sister is visiting us in LA for the week, so we’re going to all the classic spots like Griffith Observatory. And the not-so-classic spots like the mall.
Fantastic extension for Chrome and Safari to make footnotes on popular sites like Daring Fireball and Wikipedia much less disruptive and more useful.
LA Home Office Tour
We’ve finally settled in LA after seven grueling days of unpacking and filing, hanging, rearranging and cleaning. This time around, we decided to use the master bedroom as a shared office for both of us. Now we can work in the same room and we have plenty of space to relax in the office. Come take a tour of the new heart of Karbon.
View the whole set on Flickr where I’ve left notes on most photos describing furniture and where to get the prints shown, as well as leave comments if you’re so inclined.
PS: The wallpaper on my iMac is available at Prettify.
This feels like an absolutely perfect sum-up of CNN.
I especially enjoy the new version of try… catch blocks:
would_you_mind {
// Code here
} actually_i_do_mind (Exception £e) {
// Politely move on
cheerio('Message');
}
Vastly more polite and upbeat indeed.
The New York Times chose an absolutely perfect “women panicking outside after possible disaster” photo for their 5.9-Magnitude Earthquake story this morning.
Having just moved to Los Angeles, we are of course more aware and concerned about earthquakes, so it was ironic to have my family in NJ/NY call me this morning to tell me they just had one.
